John Dinkel, principal of Dinkel Business Development, LLC has over 25 years of experience at small to large companies leading business development, sales teams and operations in the Mid-Atlantic region.  At age 26, John landed his first sales management position leading a team of 25 sales executives and managers in Troy, NY. From there, he held multiple leadership positions at various sized organizations honing his sales, business development and leadership skills.  

In January of 2001, John began his career at the Baltimore Business Journal as the advertising sales director.  In 2006, John was promoted to president and publisher.  During that time, John continued to learn more and more about leading a team, high level business development activities, sales process and structure and running the day-to-day operations in an ever-changing industry.  John has received multiple awards for his sales and business development performance during his career with public and private companies.

In June of 2017, John resigned from the BBJ to start Dinkel Business Development, LLC.  His passion is helping his clients achieve their financial and professional goals through building deeper relationships, smart business development activity and strategic planning.

John is very active in the nonprofit community and has served on many of Baltimore's most influential boards.  Currently, John is on the board of Business Volunteers Maryland and serves on the President's Advisory Council at Stevenson University.  He's a graduate of Leadership Maryland, class of 2008 and has received many accolades for his philanthropic work.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife Nuala, his two boys, Gage and Gavin, family and friends.
