Jonathon joined our team in 2017. Since then, Fello has doubled in size, with more than 600 employees supporting over 4,000 people with disabilities throughout Maryland. Under his leadership, Fello has become a dynamic organization, providing innovative services for people with disabilities, and driving change throughout the region as an economic leader, compassionate and inclusive employer, and pioneer in community development. In 2025, he led the organization’s bold transition to Fello, honoring the organization’s 60+ year legacy and ushering in a new era rooted in inclusion, connection, and opportunity.
In his time at Fello, Jonathon has championed wage increases, doubling the starting wages of Direct Support Professionals and introducing innovative employee benefits such as Health Connections. He invested in organization-wide infrastructure, building the capacity of Fello Communities and is the visionary behind innovative community development projects like Port Street Commons and Easton Crossing.
Jonathon is a collaborative and entrepreneurial leader who fosters a culture of quality, respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement. He is active in the community, serving on the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS) board, the board of The Maryland Chamber of Commerce, the board of The Waterfowl Festival, as the Vice President of the Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Coalition, and as Board Chair of Fello Communities.
He has more than two decades of experience in leadership roles and has been recognized as a Nonprofit Leader of The Year by The Anthem Awards (2024), an Influential Marylander by The Daily Record (2023), one of Maryland’s Most Admired CEOs by The Daily Record (2021), and as a Rising Star by The Arc United States (2020), among many others.
Jonathon holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Notre Dame of Maryland University, and a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and disability studies from Springfield College. Jonathon lives in Catonsville with his husband, Matt, and their son.
